Project Leader Biographies: The Flow Project

Skye Burn, Executive Director of The Flow Project, is an independent researcher, published internationally; award-winning poet; accomplished illustrator, woodworker, and essayist; and a seasoned community organizer. Skye has a BA in the Psychology of the Creative Process and an MA in Leadership in Social Artistry.

Skye is an Associate Member of the UNESCO Chair for Comparative Studies of Spiritual Traditions, Their Specific Cultures and Interreligious Dialogue, located at the St. Petersburg Branch of the Russian Institute for Cultural Research, and is on the Board of the Center for Intercultural Dialogue at the University of Oregon, which houses the UNESCO Chair for Transcultural Studies, Interreligious Dialogue and Peace. Since 2000, she has participated in many international conferences organized under the auspices of UNESCO, which have brought together scholars, religious leaders, government leaders, and artists to develop new ways of understanding the dynamic of culture. She organized the eighth conference in this series. In addition to her work with the UNESCO Chairs, Skye is on the board or an advisor to a number of organizations, including Laurel Springs School, Madrona Center, The Honor Foundation, and Allied Arts of Whatcom County.
