Project Leader Biographies: Fertile Ground Community Center

Gail Di Marzo, director of the FGCC, plants the seeds to help the projects of Fertile Ground grow into maturity. We work in response to the needs and interests of those around us. So naturally we rise to the opportunities as they arrive. Summer 2008 was the first time we've hosted an Art Camp for kids ages 11-14, thanks to the interest of two Evergreen grads who took the initiative to create a fun place for kids to explore themselves through art. Fall/Winter 2008 brings a response to needs for Community Asset Mapping. Gail is forging a project in coordination with the NW Coooperative Development Center, Enterprise for Equity and TULIP Cooperative credit union. This collaboration brings people together to share resources and skills.
