Palang Thai Conducts Study Tour in Thailand (March 2010)

Palang Thai helped design, coordinate, and lead a study tour that brought high-level decision-makers from Tanzania to Thailand for a week-long exchange tour on regulations and program implementation of the Thai Very Small Power Producers (VSPP) program. The VSPP program in Thailand allows privately owned renewable energy and clean cogeneration to connect to the national grid or mini-grids and profitably sell electricity. Similar regulations in Tanzania were passed in 2009. Chris Greacen from Palang Thai, who helped design and lead the tour, also helped the governments of both countries to draft the regulations.
