A W.I.S.H. Announces New Project One Vibe Entertainment (December 2011)

A W.I.S.H. is pleased to announce a new project, One Vibe Entertainment. Led by Simon Javan Okelo and Maurice Omusolo and based in Kenya, One Vibe’s mission is to involve youth in promoting, presenting, and preserving diversity and culture through music, art, education, and technology. A W.I.S.H. Sierra Leone Rice Production Project (November 2011)

alpha111711A W.I.S.H. Sierra Leone is undertaking an Inland Valley Swamp rice production in Gbeworbu Tunkia, in the Tunkia Chiefdom of Kenema District. Alpha Beretey, the director of A W.I.S.H. Sierra Leone, is pictured here during a site visitation for the project.

 

 

 

 

News from the People's Waterfront Coalition (July 2011)

Six prominent environmentalists argue against the proposed deep-bore tunnel under downtown Seattle. They maintain that a streets/transit/I-5 solution creates more jobs, addresses our mobility needs more quickly and cheaply, and sets us on the path to a livable, post-carbon future. Ba Futuru's Work Featured on International Nonprofit's Site (April 2011)

Mwanzo Proud Farmers Launches in Seattle (February 2011)

On February 6, 2011, Mwanzo Proud Farmers was officially launched to its Seattle community of supporters.  The event was attended by over 80 people.  At the launch, Loyce Ong'udi, Founder and Executive Director introduced the organization's advisory team and management.  She shared the mission and vision of the organization with the enthuastic guests.  MPF's mission is "To expand and diversify Kenyan cash and food crop farming as environmentally and economically sustainable business in rural communities."  The success of the launch was due to the vibrant  interactions among supporters who were thrilled to learn of Mwanzo's unique sustainable business model.
