Two Square Kilometers of Amazon Land Contains More Diverse Species Than All of Canada and the United States

Invest in the Environment and Protection of the Amazon Forests of Yapacaní, Bolivia

In the beginning of 1998, the non governmental, non profit organization, "A W.I.S.H. Bolivia" was founded, as an international network to protect the environment in Santa Cruz de la Sierra. The project is an autonomous section of the International Association, A W.I.S.H. - A World Institute for Sustainable Humanity, with headquarters in the United States.

Immediately following the inception of the organization, in the beginning of 1999, 23,000 hectares of tropical forest was transferred to A W.I.S.H. Bolivia. The proposal was to protect this forest, known as Yapacaní, in a sustainable manner, as well as to give to it a wise and ecological usefulness. Already in 1996 along with Bolivian associates we had interceded to protect the territory of Bolivian Amazonian Rainforest that is situated along the banks of the Yapacaní River. The financially bound and co-owners of the forests in this zone, are Brasilian investors who wish to clear the land with caterpillar tractors, and then burn the forests to prepare the land for crops for a few years until the nutrients in the soil are exhausted. As a result of endless negotiations, maneuvering and work from within the country as well as the international public opinion, the group of investors is ready to halt the clear cutting and accept payment for their investments and properties and withdraw from the area.

This is the reason that these forests have been transferred to A W.I.S.H. Bolivia and in this way it has been possible to protect the land from being clear-cut and burned. Currently the project is being developed in collaboration with A W.I.S.H. Germany and A W.I.S.H. Bolivia as well as in cooperation with scientists and international investigators, all with the concept of a sustainable use for this forest.

The neighboring local population will also be participating in the use and protection of the tropical forests. They will become oriented and trained in the utilization, protection and conservation of the incalculable biological resources. Our principal proposal and the central point of our efforts are directed towards the conservation of the biological diversity along with ecological stability and sustainability. We share the point of view that in the long-term tropical forests will offer greater financial and economically attractive options than the traditional indiscriminate way of permanent destructive transformation of the forests into cropland and cattle pasture fields.

It is precisely from this point that we part for development in utilization concepts. Because only in this way does the possibility exist, to give value to the rainforest as ecosystems, to protect them as sources for investment and to maintain their existence. If the bordering population's knowledge serves to understand, care for and utilize these incalculable biological resources and they can find a way to make a living through the conservation of the ecosystem and the variety of species, then they will have a permanent interest in conserving the forests. At the same time they would also be in the counter position of the current situation in which the rapid utilities, in the short run are generating considerable profits at the cost of the destruction of the rainforest.

To secure definite control of the property, we are looking, on both an international and national level for investors that wish to participate with this ecological property. 50% of the investor's participation is already assured, and for the remaining 50% we are still looking for investors. From April 2, 2000 there has been a transaction in Anonymous Society to realize the actual sale of the parcels of land. The plan now is also to qualify and inscribe in the stock markets of La Paz and Santa Cruz.

If the reader is interested in participating in this work, which by its unique characteristics will also become a part of history, please contact us. If you choose to participate you will have all the guarantees and rights, as is custom between members and shareholders. For larger investments, we will assume all the costs for an individual certification about the ability for revenues from their participation and the representation of their interests in the environment. Along with an assessment of all relevant legal consultations we would also use independent specialist evaluators and legal consultants that can be contracted according to the needs of the investor.

Bolivia is a country with liberal politics that has always welcomed foreign investments.

The International Network for Investments in the Environment and A W.I.S.H. Germany will assist you in your investment and in the sale of the parcels of land to ensure a safe investment with an ecological sensitivity and with the potential value of the highest yield. For our labor we will not charge fees or commissions, we will finance through our own efforts, our collaboration and work is always with honorable character.

Invest in the Yapacaní tropical rainforests, and in its unique animal and plant species. Help us fight against the catastrophic destruction of the variety of species and forests of our planet, help to intervene with wise investments, and with a vision for the future. Think that by investigating into these areas the discovery of just one medicinal plant could save and cure millions of people. It could also generate numerous resources that could give to the investor dividends from their parcels of land, and which could in turn be reinvested to buy even more parcels to ensure conservation for future generations.

The trees also work to absorb millions of tons of carbon dioxide and other dangerous gases, which create a greenhouse effect when dispersed into the atmosphere. In this way we will also be helping the mitigation of climate changes in our planet, our home…

Everything that we conserve and save today will become food for tomorrow.
